my personal and true hero
Moses Palakiko Bergau born on September 11, 1937, but I call him dad! Dealing with 9 children and out of the 9 only having one boy he still managed to keep everything together. From being a Branch President, to being a Bishop, to a sealer in the temple has been the greatest blessing not only for me but also for my family. Moving to Utah to leave everything in Hawai'i was hard, especially for my dad because the Laie temple was in renovation but we all knew my dad couldn't be away from the temple. Utah has 13 temples all with in driving range that my dad is willing to drive. With having surgeries, 9 children (me being the baby), attending meetings for church and finishing off the hunny-do list, he still manged to put aside time for himself. As time goes on I can't help but to think and wonder how everything will turn out when he leaves. I know I shouldn't be thinking this way, but when the time comes I think I'll be prepared.Coming from me, the baby of the family and daddy's little girl, its hard. Watching him slow down, is scary. I honestly think its worse then a scary movie, but for now all I can do is just be thankful for my personal and true hero. I'm truly thankful for his examples, for the worthy priesthood holder that he is, for not receiving the laying on of hands as much as my OLDER older siblings has and for the most part, for teaching me to put the lord first in all my doings! No one could ever take that special place of a true hero! I LOVE YOU DAD!
