Time needs to slow down

Sister Bergau at the San Diego, California Temple
As much as we fight it had just hit me that my sister will be leaving to the Carlsbad Mission in three (or so) weeks. I've had nephew's, cousin's, and friends leave to serve missions, but I didn't feel like how I feel now. (If that makes any sense). I failed to mention that my sister had even received her mission call. Before my sister had even started her mission papers, she thought it was a great idea to keep it a secret from my parents. FIRST if you know my parents, they would FREEK OUT! Literally! I kept telling her that eventually she would need to tell my parents, but instead she decided at the time not to. As it came closer for her to take out her wisdom teeth she realized she would have to at least tell my mom so she wouldn't cry PUPUKA (ugly) or have a heart-attack. Besides my sister needed some assistance from not only me but from my mom with taking her to the dentist, without telling my dad of course. As time got closer for my sister to turn her papers in she decided to tell my dad.
The day she received her call she told EVERYONE else BUT ME. I knew she had her call because of how she was acting. She acted as if she was the happiest girl alive! SOOOOOO didn't make anything obvious. Not only was my sister acting weird but so was my best friend. The more I asked my best friend if my sister had got "the white envelope", the more WEIRD she kept getting. It even got to the point where my BOYFRIEND found out and didn't tell me...like really! The next day my sister finally told me about her call to at which point I had to tell her "it's okay I already know". I know I'm such a spoiler lol sorry! That week we had friends and family come to join us in the opening of SISTER BERGAU'S call. As we all had our guess's, and everyone shouting out where she will be going, us Hawai'i girls kept saying shes not going to California especially Oceanside. As she read "Sister Bergau you are here by labored to serve in the....CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA MISSION!!!!!", our hearts dropped LOL. Literally! The Carlsbad Mission covers Oceanside, which is where most of our friends are from.
Kua and Rachel Friel(:
To fast forward things...This summer my family and I had the opportunity to explore my sisters area. We actually went there for my cousin's wedding, but we figured why not we just see her area she'll be serving. From Newport (not her area but close) to San Diego, we made our way all around!
If possible I'd appreciate it if time would just slow down a bit. 20 years with her wasn't enough for her to leave me ALONE for 18 months. DRAMATIC I KNOW, but I'll be an only child.....

Upside! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Friel! I LOVED your wedding and meeting the family! I wish nothing but the best for your future(: Love you both!
