Okay!!!! It's that struggle again, you know that one where it takes me a hundred years to think of the perfect topic to write about because I don't wanna seem like an idiot. EXACTLY!!! WELL...on to my post. About a year ago (almost a year), the youth (and others) had the opportunity to dance for the prophet. At first when I heard about it, I started to flip becasue honestly thats pretty lucky for them. I've always wanted to performe for the prophet or even for the apostles...IT IS ONE OF MY MANY DREAMS AND IT'S ALSO ON MY BUCKET LIST!
It was the day after my birthday and my niece in-law texted me to see if I could help out with a dance. At first I thought I texted her, but I guess not. After work, I had gotten a call asking if I wanted to be apart of a Latino Celebration. Obviously my first thought was really (only because I'm not into dancing Latino...nothing against them), but then she mention if I could do a Kahiko number with 11 other girls. As soon as I said that my heart raced and I immediately said YES! With out letting her finish I asked her who was it for, when and how long. I've never in my 20 years of living been told this next statement. "This performance will be on TV and it will show internationally. It's going to be in the conferecne center and we'll be dancing for the prophet." SAY WHAT? Dancing for the prophet? Yes my heart stopped and I was speechless.
So now every Thursday night I have practice. Sometimes we have it in Lehi (Highland area) or if were lucky we'll have it in Provo. Although I have NO IDEA what the song is talking about it looks beautiful, but feels tiring. In all my years of dancing, I've never felt so exhausted from dancing. How inspiring and heart felt about this I cannot explain, but I know it will be an exciting one! Until next time(:
